Of the ones on this page, only Mention Reminder. The Inbox, Bookmarks, Reminder Bot and Dyno all work from time or from your own clicks. Mention Reminder closes a reminder when you reply to the message, react to it with an emoji, the message is deleted, or on the Team plan when the AI matches your answer elsewhere in the channel.
Ways to keep track of mentions on Discord
You can overlook a mention or read it and forget to reply. Discord’s Inbox helps you find notifications, Bookmarks let you save a message, and reminder bots alert you at a chosen time. Mention Reminder automatically keeps a list of mentions and updates it after your replies.
For catching up, the free Inbox is enough. To come back to a message you chose to keep, use Bookmarks if you have them, or Dyno's ?remindme. For scheduled and repeating server reminders, Reminder Bot. For pings that go unanswered with nobody noticing, Mention Reminder, because it starts at the mention and stops at the reply.

How we compared them
We looked at each option from the point of view of the person who was mentioned: does it notice the ping without anyone doing anything, does it know when the ping has been answered, and does it bring the ping back at a sensible time without telling the whole channel.
Two of these are built into Discord: the Inbox, which every user has on desktop and in the browser, and Bookmarks with Reminders, which Discord describes as an experiment for a limited number of Nitro members. The other two are popular bots that an admin adds: Reminder Bot, made for reminders, and Dyno, an all-round server bot with a reminder command.
Mention Reminder is our product, so it is the first column of the table. Where another option does something better, such as reminding you about any message or posting scheduled announcements, the table says so.
Discord Inbox
Built in and free. The Mentions tab collects every ping across your servers, with filters for @everyone and @role. Items drop off when you close them or after 7 days, and nothing ever brings one back.
Best for: Seeing who mentioned you while you were away, if you clear the list every day.
Discord Bookmarks and Reminders
Save any message and have Discord bring it back after a delay or at a set date. Works on desktop, browser and mobile, up to 200 bookmarks, but it is an experiment for some Nitro members.
Best for: Nitro users who save messages as a habit and want to come back to any of them.
Reminder Bot
A dedicated reminder bot with /remind and a web dashboard. Free and unlimited, can ping users and roles, and handles repeating reminders for $2 a month on Patreon. Open source if you want to host it.
Best for: Scheduled announcements and recurring reminders for a whole channel or role.
Dyno (?remindme)
A reminder command inside a widely used moderation bot. ?remindme sends you a private message after the delay you give it, but you cannot list or cancel reminders once set.
Best for: A quick personal note-to-self on a server that already runs Dyno.

When the other options are enough
- You are in a handful of servers and go through your Mentions tab every day.
- You have Bookmarks and already save the messages you mean to come back to.
- Your reminders are about times and events, not about pings, and a bot like Reminder Bot covers them.
When to add Mention Reminder
- Pings get read, then forgotten, and nobody saved them or typed a command.
- You want one private list per person of what is still unanswered, which empties as people reply.
- You run several servers, for clients or communities, and want every unanswered ping in one thread.
- You use @role a lot and want only the role pings that need a person to turn into reminders, on the Team plan.
Combining them
Use the Inbox for notifications, Reminder Bot for events and Mention Reminder for everyday mentions from people. The bot maintains a private list and adds a 🔔 reaction to the source message. Messages from other bots do not create reminders in it.
Yes, several. The Inbox is free but never reminds you later. Reminder Bot and Dyno are free but need a command per reminder. Mention Reminder's Starter plan is free for one server and up to 5 people, with direct mentions and one reminder hour a day.
Bookmarks, Reminder Bot, Dyno and Mention Reminder all reach you on mobile: Bookmarks in the app's notifications screen, the bots as messages, and Mention Reminder in your private thread. Discord's help center lists the Inbox itself as desktop and browser only.
For the Inbox, no. Bookmarks need Nitro and a habit of saving. Reminder bots need members to learn a command. Mention Reminder is added once by an admin; members only open their private thread from the #mention-reminder channel.
